Wilson, N.C. – The Greenville Yard Gnomes came up just short in extra innings, falling 5-4 to the Wilson Tobs on the road.

Greenville jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first. Jon Howard opened the scoring with an RBI single, plating Brody Gardner. A wild pitch in the second frame allowed both Alex Ferrell and Corey Berry to cross home, giving the Gnomes a 3-0 advantage.

Wilson answered back in the bottom of the frame with a solo home run to right field by Chase Waddell. Waddell struck again in the eight with a two-run double, scoring Levi McAllister and Charlie Bussey to tie the game at 3-3.

In the 10th, Berry scored on an error by the Tobs first baseman, putting Greenville ahead 4-3, but Wilson responded in the bottom half as Christian Michak and Evan Harding both came home on bases-loaded walks, sealing a 5-4 walk-off win for the Tobs.

Colin Murphy received the loss, allowing one run over three innings of work. Cooper Revels was tagged with the loss after surrendering two runs in one inning of relief.
