GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Greenville Yard Gnomes placed three players on the Coastal Plain League’s East Division All-Star Spotlight, with pitcher Luke Lambert, infielder Corey Berry and first baseman Lance Bratlien earning recognition for their first-half performances.

This year’s Coastal Plain League All-Star festivities will be held at Carolina Bank Field in Florence, South Carolina, and hosted by the Flamingos.

The festivities begin Monday, July 6, with a series of skills competitions, including the Home Run Derby. The Coastal Plain League All-Star Game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, and will be streamed live on HomeTeam Network.

Lambert, a DH Conley High School and Pitt Community College alumnus who recently committed to Belmont Abbey, has anchored Greenville’s pitching staff. He owns a 1.98 ERA with 24 strikeouts while allowing just six hits in nearly 16 innings.

Berry, who plays collegiately at Columbus State, has been a fixture in the middle infield throughout the first half of the season. He leads the Coastal Plain League with 30 stolen bases and also ranks among the league leaders in walks. Berry has scored 22 runs while driving in 11.

Bratlien, a Georgia Gwinnett standout, was recognized as a first baseman despite also making appearances on the mound this summer. He leads the Yard Gnomes with five home runs and has added 13 hits, 11 RBIs, 13 runs scored and six stolen bases.

The three selections reflect Greenville’s strong first half as the Yard Gnomes remain in the Coastal Plain League playoff race.

Fans can watch all three All-Star Spotlight selections in action Friday night at Guy Smith Stadium when the Yard Gnomes host Holly Springs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., followed by a postgame fireworks show. Fans are also invited onto the field after the game to meet the 2026 All-Star Spotlight honorees.

The Yard Gnomes compete in the Coastal Plain League, one of the nation’s premier collegiate summer baseball leagues. Entering the 2024 summer season, more than 1,750 CPL alumni have been drafted by Major League Baseball organizations, with 200 players reaching the majors. Notable alumni include Justin Verlander, Ryan Zimmerman, Mark Reynolds, Kevin Youkilis, Alec Bohm, and Super Bowl XLVIII–winning quarterback Russell Wilson.
