Greenville, N.C. – The Greenville Yard Gnomes are proud to announce that former standout pitcher Todd Kniebbe has been picked up by the Baltimore Orioles organization, becoming the latest Yard Gnome to reach the professional ranks.
Kniebbe made a significant impact during the 2024 Coastal Plain League season, appearing in seven games out of the bullpen for Greenville. He posted an impressive 2.00 ERA across 9.0 innings pitched, tallying 13 strikeouts while issuing just 4 walks and allowing only 5 hits. He recorded four saves and finished the summer with a 1-1 record.
His performance earned him a selection to the 2024 CPL Select Team, which showcases some of the league’s top talent in a high-profile exhibition setting.
Kniebbe recently announced his transfer from Florida Atlantic University to Kansas State University, where he will continue his collegiate career in the Big 12 Conference before beginning his professional journey with the Orioles.
Kniebbe’s signing makes him the second ever Yard Gnomes to make it to the Majors and it also continues the Yard Gnomes’ tradition of developing high-caliber players and helping them reach the next level in their careers.
